Wildlife Database Management
The NZCCM manages the National Wildlife Health Database for the Department of Conservation. This database is used to share wildlife disease testing results.

Breeding Management
Advice on breeding management ranging from optimising breeding success through to control methods to prevent breeding.

Disease Risk Assessment
Consultancy advice on disease risk particularly in relation to wildlife translocations is provided from the NZCCM. The centre has an investigative approach to disease risk that explores the connections between the environment, animals and people.

Forensic Pathology
In conjunction with our scientific associates the NZCCM team offer forensic pathology services, which involves investigating the cause of wildlife mortalities. |

Population Modelling
Specialist animal population modelling services are offered from the NZCCM through our connection with the Conservation Breeding Specialist Group.

Diagnostics
Onsite NZCCM Diagnostics services include parasitology, haematology and basic biochemistry profiling.
In collaboration with our diagnostic partners, full diagnostic services are available.

Zoo Nutrition Analysis
Utilising Zootrition Software, nutritional profiling of animal diets can be conducted and advice given on diet formulation for a large range of zoo animal species. |
Meeting Facilitation
The NZCCM team have skills in facilitation and provide these services to conservation organisations. Our function rooms provide an ideal environment to host such meetings.

Ultra-freezer sample storage
A SANYO (VIP + SERIES) -150 degrees Celsius Ultra-freezer is located at the NZCCM.
This freezer is backed up by an uninterrupted power supply (UPS). A sample storage service is available for NZCCM clients.
The centre is a part of a worldwide consortium called The Frozen Ark, which is committed to "Saving the DNA and the viable cells of the world's endangered animals"
